The condoms are made of polyurethane rather than latex: the wall averages about 0.018 mm, the material has no rubber smell and passes body heat almost immediately, so the barrier is very hard to notice. Why "0.01" if the wall is 0.018 mm

"0.01" is the series name, not a measurement. Sagami introduced it in 2013 and describes it as the first condom with a wall in the 0.01 mm range. The manufacturer's figure is an average of 0.018 mm, which makes it thinner than the Sagami Original 0.02. Sagami's burst-pressure tests show the polyurethane 0.01 to be about three times stronger than the company's latex condoms.

When it fits

How to use and lubricants

Use according to the manufacturer's leaflet. Each condom sits in a rigid blister that protects it from crushing and opens with the correct side up, so it is easy to put on even in low light. Polyurethane tolerates water-based, silicone-based and oil-based lubricants.

Choosing the size

The 0.01 is made in two sizes: standard (55 × 170 mm) and L-Size (58 × 190 mm). Because polyurethane stretches less than latex, the fit matters more: if the standard size presses at the base, the 0.01 L-Size will be more comfortable; if it is loose, stay with the standard size.

Worth knowing

The price per piece is higher than for latex condoms and for the 0.02 series. If the thinnest possible wall is not the priority and you mainly need a latex-free condom, the Sagami Original 0.02 is a more economical choice.
